    On foot you can try garage sales, flea markets, used camera stores, pawn shops. Make sure you take a few new AA bateries to make sure the motor works, exposure meter etc. Let us know which model you get?

    A similar approach to bidding on a camera on e-bay is to review the closed auctions.

    Read the descriptions, how much the cameras sold for, how many bids by different parties were made (but don't read too much into that one)

    Then report back here with the cameras that intrigued you the most, and why they did.

    Now you can be a true hunter knowing what you are looking for rather then a looky lou.
